The short version

  • We collect information you give us, some information automatically when you use our website, and business contact details from public and commercial sources.
  • We use it to reply to you, to run our website and to tell businesses about our services.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time.

1. Who we are

Genic Studio (“Remotely Outsource”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in India. We provide managed remote teams and operational services to businesses.

We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the “Data Fiduciary” for it.

What this policy covers: our website at remotelyoutsource.com, our marketing and sales activity, and our conversations with prospective clients and candidates.

What it doesn’t cover: information we handle on behalf of our clients while delivering services to them. That information is governed by our agreement with each client, and the client decides how it is used. If your information reached us through one of our clients, please contact that client first.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in a form on our website, book a call, subscribe to our updates, email us or speak with us, we may collect:

  • your name and job title
  • your work email address and phone number
  • your company name and website
  • what you tell us about your project or needs
  • anything else you choose to include

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, or open an email from us, we may collect:

  • information about your device and browser
  • your IP address and the approximate location it indicates (such as your country or city)
  • the pages you view, how you arrived and how long you stay
  • whether you open our emails and which links you click

We collect this using cookies and similar technologies. See section 5.

Information from other sources

We are a business-to-business company. To find businesses that may benefit from our services, we collect business contact information from:

  • public sources, such as company websites and professional networks like LinkedIn
  • commercial business-data providers

This is limited to professional details, such as your name, job title, company, work email address, work phone number and public information about your company. We use it to contact you about our services.

Calls and meetings

If you speak with us by phone or video, we may record or transcribe the call so we can keep accurate notes. We’ll let you know when a call is being recorded.

If you apply to work with us

If you apply to join our talent network, we collect your CV, work history, skills and contact details, along with notes from any interviews.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health, religious or financial account details, and we ask you not to send it to us.

We use your information with your consent, or where you have voluntarily given it to us for a specific purpose, such as asking us for a quote. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see section 8). Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

4. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing, except through advertising cookies that you choose to accept (see section 5).

We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, analytics, email, customer-relationship, scheduling, video-call and business-data tools. They use it only to provide their services to us.
  • Clients: if you’ve applied to join our talent network, we share your profile with prospective clients only with your permission.
  • Professional advisers, such as our lawyers and accountants.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is reorganized, merged or sold. They would be required to protect your information as this policy does.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies, which the website needs in order to work.
  • Analytics cookies, which show us how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
  • Advertising cookies, such as the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which help us measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested in our services. Meta and LinkedIn may connect this to your account with them and use it under their own privacy policies.

Apart from essential cookies, we only set cookies with your consent, which you give or refuse through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through our cookie settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser.

6. International transfers

We are based in India, and our service providers operate in several countries, including the United States. This means your information may be processed outside the country where you live. When it is, we use reputable providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards, and we transfer information only as the law permits.

7. Marketing

We may contact people at businesses we believe may benefit from our services, and we send updates to people who have subscribed to them.

If you’d rather not hear from us, just tell us (use the unsubscribe link in any of our marketing emails, let us know when we speak, or use the form at the top of this page) and we’ll stop. We keep a record of your request so we don’t contact you again by mistake.

This won’t affect messages about work we’re doing with you.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you and explain how we use it
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • delete your information
  • stop using your information for marketing
  • withdraw any consent you’ve given us
  • give you a copy of the information you provided to us
  • let you nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to

To make a request, use the form at the top of this page. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If we hold information about you, we’ll provide it or act on your request. If we don’t hold any information about you, we’ll tell you. We aim to respond within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for making a request.

Some requests have limits. For example, we may need to keep certain records for legal or tax reasons. If that applies, we’ll explain why.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can escalate it to our Grievance Officer (see section 14). If you’re in India, you can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you’re elsewhere, you can contact your local data protection authority.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, then delete or anonymize it. For example:

  • Inquiry details: while we’re in discussion with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards
  • Client records: for the length of the engagement, and afterwards for as long as the law requires
  • Business contact details used for outreach: until they’re no longer needed, or until you ask us to stop
  • Subscriptions: until you unsubscribe

10. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of your information. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

11. Children

Our services are for businesses. Our website isn’t intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please tell us using the form at the top of this page, and we’ll delete it.

Our website may link to other websites. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll also post a notice on our website.
